MatrixMen is the first organization in Africa to support men that have suffered abuse as children.  

One of the things that we as a society do not realise is that men, left untreated do not magically grow up to understand and manage their emotions.  Sadly hurt men rely on the one thing that they have enough of, testosterone.  This natural drug is produced in the body and once a boy hits puberty its what he relies on to protect himself.  

The sad truth is that in South Africa 44% of all boys have suffered some form of unwanted sexual contact by age 18.  

These boys are 4 times more likely to perpetrate a rape, so this explains the escalating sexual crimes in South Africa. 

Boys who have suffered childhood abuse whether sexual, physical, emotional or mental, cannot be expected to grow up to be normal functional adults.
